Running into issues with the token displaying on platforms?

Please keep in mind that tokens can take up to a few hours for platforms to ingest. If it doesn’t show up after some time, the first thing you want to do is determine what the issue is.

Types of token display issues

Typically issues fall under one of two categories:

1. The token is not displaying on some platforms but displaying on others. If this is the case, it sounds like the token is fine and it’s an issue with the platforms not supporting the file type or size of the artwork. Please ensure the media is supported by the desired platform.

2. There is an issue with the token displaying on all platforms. If this is the case please verify the metadata is correct in Studio.

Step-by-Step Guide to Verifying Your Token's Metadata

When your token's metadata isn't displaying correctly, follow these steps to verify it:

  • In Studio:

    • Use the 'View metadata' link to check details directly. You'll find links like Arweave where your token's metadata is stored.

  • On Manifold Gallery:

    • Use the 'Manifold Gallery' link to cross-verify the token information displayed publicly matches your records.

  • Via Etherscan:

    • Visit your contract's page on Etherscan, use the 'Read as Proxy' feature, and check the 'TokenURI' for the metadata's accuracy.

Common Issues & Common Platform Issues

Below is a detailed table outlining common issues encountered on popular platforms, along with their possible solutions:

Platform

Issue

Solution

All Platforms

Tokens aren't displaying on all platforms

If the token isn't displaying on any platform there may have been an issue during the minting process.

Please verify the metadata of the token with the link in Studio and ensure the links are pointing to the right artwork. If you’re still having some Issues, please reach out to us at [email protected]

1155 Contract is missing details

Part of the spec of the 1155 contract will only show the contract symbol. In order to see the contract name, click the Contract tab with the verified checkmark and then you'll see the contract title in the Code section

Some Platforms

Tokens aren't displaying on some platforms

the token isn't displaying on some platforms but working on others, the token has likely been minted properly.

In this case, there is likely an issue with a platform’s restriction on the file type/size. Please double check your files are compatible with the specific marketplace

HTML tokens aren’t displaying properly and only the thumbnail image appears

Please ensure the platform supports HTML tokens.

3D tokens aren’t displaying properly and only a thumbnail appears

Please ensure the platform supports 3D tokens.

OpenSea

Claim page tokens are not appearing on Opensea

If your tokens have not been minted, a preview link for some platforms may not appear. This is because some platforms generate a collection only after the first token is minted.

Tokens are not show up OpenSea but showing up fine on other platfroms

It can take up to a few hours for Opensea to ingest the token data. If you're still having issues reach out to Opensea's support.

There is no need to burn the token if the metadata is showing up correctly.

I have airdropped tokens and my collectors aren’t seeing them

Your tokens were likely caught in Opensea’s spam filter. To solve this, collectors can manually unhide these tokens or you can request Opensea to unhide these tokens.

I have airdropped tokens and the number of owners is wrong

Try updating the tokens manually or reaching out to Opensea directly. Looks like there was an issue ingesting the token amounts

I have updated my tokens and do not see the changes on mainnet

A manual refresh should do the trick. Head over to the token’s link on Opensea and click on the refresh icon on the top right.

If this doesn’t work after a few retries, reach out to OpenSea’s support team.

My token count for 1155 tokens is wrong

It can take up to a few hours for Opensea to ingest the token data. If the token count is still wrong, reach out to OpenSea to trigger a manual refresh!

My contract/collection title shows up incorrectly (It shows V2 or Unidentified Contract)

This contract/collection name can be set in OpenSea on the collection page.

Foundation

Token isn't showing up on Foundation but showing up on other platforms

Please double check the file size/type, Foundation will only display images/videos under 50mbs.

The token does not need to be burned and updating the metadata will do the trick. Once this is done, contact Foundation’s support and their team will trigger a manual refresh!

All tokens have been ingested to my profile. I only want to show specific tokens.

At this time Foundation does not offer the ability to curate what tokens appear in your profile. However you can adjust your home page to have tokens display the way you'd like!

I have updated my tokens and do not see the changes on mainnet

To refresh your token’s artwork, please reach out to Foundation. This needs to be done manually from their team.

My contract name is now the title of my collection. It isn’t appearing as intended

At this time Foundation does not offer the ability to rename your collection.

My contract doesn’t have any tokens and appears as a blank contract on Foundation.

At this time Foundation does not offer the ability to hide contracts.

Nifty Gateway

I want to update the artwork for my token.

Your Nifty Gateway producer will need to manually refresh your token's artwork.

SuperRare

I want SuperRare to ingest specific tokens.

SuperRare will ingest tokens from one contract.

If you're looking to only have specific tokens show up on SuperRare, we suggest minting on a contract specific to SuperRare

I have updated my tokens and do not see the changes on mainnet

To refresh your token’s artwork, please reach out to SuperRare’s support. The token metadata needs to be refreshed manually from their team.

If you're still experiencing issues after these checks, consider reaching out to the support teams of the individual platforms or consulting the community forums for more personalized guidance.
