Overview
The 1 of 1 flow allows for the creation of a single NFT as part of the ERC721 token standard. This is typically used to put a single piece of artwork on chain to have one owner. This token can then be listed for sale on a platform like Opensea or Rarible, or ingested into a platform like Superrare.
Typically this standard isn't used if you are looking to sell multiple editions of the same artwork.
This token is a single token with a single owner.
Creating a 1 of 1
In order to create a 1 of 1 or mint a single NFT, from the create menu, select 1 of 1
Add your media by clicking this button.
Supported File Types
Please note Manifold Studio supports the following file types:
Images - .png, .jpeg, .jpg, .gif, .tif, .tiff, .raw, .svg
Video - .mp4, .mov*(Please note that a number of marketplaces do not support .mov/h.265. We recommend videos in an .mp4 format.)
Audio - .mp3, .wav, .flac, .acc
3D Models - .glb
HTML Pages - .html
File Limits
When minting through Manifold Studio there is a size limit of 200MB.
Take into consideration that platforms like Opensea, Rarible, Zora may have their own file size limits so so the viewing experience maybe broken if the file is too big.
In the next step you will be able to upload your media for the token:
Once uploaded, review the title and edit any additonal metadata. (This can be changed after the token is minted)
After preparing the metadata for the token, select a recipient for your token. Here you'll be able to mint it to self or an alternate address
Sending it to yourself will allow you to list the token for sale on tools like Manifold Gallery, Opensea or Rarible
Sending it to a recipient will allow you to 'airdrop' to an alternate address.
Once you have minted the token, it will be viewable from any platform that automatically ingests tokens. For invite only platforms like Superare, you'll need to be approved in order for the tokens to appear on their site.
Editing your 1 of 1's
If you're looking to edit your 1 of 1 after it's been minted, click into the instance of the minted token. Here you'll see a summary screen.
On this edit page, you'll be able to edit metadata of your minted token. Click publish once you're done!
